Omuthiya Municipal services or City services refer to various basic services that residents and businesses of Omuthiya expect the local government to provide. This include: Water Distribution, Recreation, Sanitation, Waste Management, MSME Development, Land Acquasition, Emergency, Public Engagements
At Omuthiya Town Council, potable water is supplied to residents and businesses from the national water utility, Namibian Water Corporation Limited (NamWater), a State Owned Enterprise established as the major bulk water supplier.

Omuthiya Recreation centre has been operational for many years. However, in accordance with Namibia’s Environmental Act, Act 7 of 2007, an Environmental Social Management Plan (ESMP) for the development need to be undertaken.

Knowing the benefit of sanitation as a source of good health to our community and leading to improvement in productivity, Omuthiya Town Council has introduced several initiatives that are an eye-opener and will help in promoting sanitation within the Town.

Management of waste is the mandate of the Council. The town has a scheduled garbage collection system and every households should have a refuse bin.
There is a high concentration of SMEs activities in Omuthiya Town. The popular open market host a number of SMEs trading different goods.
In the case of an emergency, the Town Council has a list of numbers that allows the residents and business to contact local emergency services for assistance.
Public engagement has now become a widespread practice among government entities. The practice provide information on various services, community priorities, and collective recommendations.
In terms of the Local Authority Act No. 23 of 1992, The Omuthiya Town Council is the only legal owner of the land in Omuthiya Town Council until such land is bought and transferred.
